Muscle – Your Foe or Your Friend?

It’s important to remember that muscle tissue actually weighs MORE than fat, so you can’t lose weight fast and simultaneously get a chiseled look! On the other hand, if you just want to loose weight fast and achieve a good look for your torso, chances are the muscles you long for are already there – they’re just covered up by a layer of fat. Don’t make the common mistake of trying to use situps or crunches to melt that fat off of your tummy; such exercises will only tone your abdominal muscles while retaining the fat. True fat loss for any single body part requires losing fat from the whole through the above noted full-body workouts.
